It is our goal and policy to provide the highest quality products available. However, our products are intended for use in a racing environment, and therefore no warranty can be expressed or implied. Powersport Grafx is not responsible for product failure due to improper installation, normal wear, or damage. Graphics are a wear item, and replacement will be required after a period or use. Some trimming may be required due to inherent differences in plastic manufactured by non-OEM suppliers.

*Note: PG offers graphics pre-installed on new plastic. Contact our sales staff for further details.

Dry Installation Tips

Thank you for purchasing your graphics from Powersport Grafx. We work hard to manufacture the best product for your application. Please take your time and read these instructions carefully.

  • Clean the surface completely with a solvent such as break cleaner, carburetor cleaner, or contact cleaner ONLY! “these solvents remove various silicon deposits and allow for maximum adhesion”
  • Leave no residue or oils. The surface must be clean.
  • Trim the backing paper around the perimeter of the graphic.
  • Trial fit the graphic on the area that is to be applied. Make note of holes and curves and align accordingly.
  • Begin by peeling the backing paper away from the top of the graphic. Peel appx. 1″ and then check the graphics alignment. Fold the backing paper as needed and apply graphic to your desired starting point.
  • Once you have proper alignment, begin peeling the backing paper away while working the graphic onto the surface. You can use a small squeegee “if available” or your fingers to accomplish this.
  • watch for bubbles or wrinkles! Pull the graphic back slowly and reapply the problem area.
  • Repeat as needed until the graphic is placed in the desired location.

Wet Installation Tips

  • Clean the surface completely with a solvent such as break cleaner, carburetor cleaner, or contact cleaner ONLY! “these solvents remove various silicon deposits and allow for maximum adhesion”
  • You can install these graphics with a wetting solution of soapy water. This method may not work were surfaces with complex curves and contours are present.
  • Add approximately 2 drops of liquid soap per 16 ounces of water. a container such as a spray bottle should work well. decal application fluid is also available from many suppliers of the sport.
  • Spray this solution onto the surface and then onto the adhesive side of the graphic.
  • Place the wet/adhesive side of the graphic onto the surface lightly to allow the graphic to float into place.
  • Using a plastic squeegee or similar tool work the solution from between the graphic and the surface.
  • Take extra care to push all of the water out while leaving no bubbles.
  • Allow the graphic to stand for 24 hours before riding.

Rim Decal Installation

KTM Hard Equipment rim decals look good and help protect your rims. Please follow these directions carefully. If your rims have imperfections or normal wear our rim decals are the recommended product for rim restoration or customization. “avaliable for all makes” We recommend installation when the tire is not on the rim however this product can be installed on the rim as is with a little more effort.

The package contains enough material to cover a front and rear rim completely. Please note that the longer strips are for the front wheel and the shorter are intended for the rear wheel.

  • Clean the surface of the rim with degreaser, detergent or other solvent designed to remove oil and road grime. It is recommended that the entire wheel be cleaned to avoid dirt or grime from coming into contact with the graphic. Wiping off nearby components such as shocks, guards and main drive chain with a used cloth is also recommended.
  • Take the time after the initial clean up to wash your hands thoroughly to remove any grease, oils or grime that could compromise the installation.
  • Using a clean lint free cloth or paper towel, spray contact cleaner, break cleaner or other such solvent onto the towel to clean the surface of the rim “this removes any left residues from the surface and allows for maximum adhesion”
  • Peel and remove the first strip in the set attach the tip of the decal to the rim.
  • Hold the tip of the graphic in place with your thumb as you guide the rest of the strip in place.
  • Move your thumb toward the center as you apply pressure to the graphic proceeding to the end of the graphic.
  • Using your thumb, reapply pressure to all areas of the graphic to ensure adhesion.
  • Repeat the above steps for the remaining strips. Please note that some trimming of the final strip may be necessary due to variations in some rims and installations.
